Bayou lacombe is about a 45-minute drive from new orleans, and not much farther from baton rouge. to get there, take exit 74 off of interstate 12, and head south. two public launches provide. Bayou facts. two boat launches: main street and lake road. not likely to see many gators on bayou lacombe. bass and sac-a-lait can be found at the north end. recreation paddling can be done at the main street launch. no destination point.. In lacombe you have lake road, on bayou lacombe, and, for a smaller boat, big branch, a bit past fountainbleau, that i know of. there are actually two on bayou lacombe, one right in town off main rd, and another far down lake road much closer to the lake. probably others, but those are the two i know of..
